Evaluations shaped around your child

Every evaluation is individualized — chosen to answer your specific questions about how your child thinks, learns, and feels.

Evaluations I offer

  • Psycho-Educational Evaluation

    A comprehensive assessment to identify:

    • Specific learning disabilities — dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and more
    • Emotional disability
    • ADHD
    • Autism
    • Intellectual disability
  • School Neuro-Psych Evaluation

Also called a Pediatric Neuro-Cognitive Evaluation — a psycho-educational assessment with an additional in-depth look at memory, attention, executive functioning, social emotional and cognitive processing as well as additional analysis of the impacts of health and medical history.

  • Following Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)

A School Neuro-Psych assessment to understand how an injury is affecting learning, and what support will help at school.

  • Cognitive Assessments (“IQ testing”)

Standardized cognitive testing — for example, for GATE or MENSA.

What is an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)?

An Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE) is a formal, private evaluation conducted by a qualified, independent Educational Psychologist. This process is typically initiated when a parent or guardian disagrees with the findings, conclusions, or recommendations of a psycho-educational assessment previously conducted by a school district.

The IEE serves as a neutral, third-party assessment designed to resolve disagreements between the family and the district regarding a student’s unique learning profile and educational needs. Under specific circumstances, these evaluations are conducted at the school district’s expense to ensure the student receives a comprehensive and objective review.

The IEE process includes:

  • Objective Assessment

A thorough evaluation to assess for learning differences, neurodevelopmental disabilities, or emotional factors impacting the student's academic success.

  • Clinical Recommendations

Based on the findings, I provide evidence-based recommendations for appropriate school accommodations, modifications, and specialized services.

  • Placement Consultation

I offer a professional opinion regarding an appropriate educational placement to ensure the student’s needs are met within the least restrictive environment.

  • Collaborative Advocacy

Findings can be presented at IEP or 504 meetings to provide expert support, facilitate informed decision-making, and offer educational counseling to both parents and district personnel.

My approach to Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) is rooted in objectivity, collaboration, and clarity. I translate complex diagnostic data into practical, evidence-based educational plans that align both families and school districts. By fostering open communication and providing clear, actionable recommendations, I help teams work together to understand the student's full potential and improve educational outcomes.

Cost, contracts & your options

A clear written contract

Before anything is scheduled, you receive a written contract that thoroughly explains everything the assessment includes. You review and agree to it before testing begins.

Knowing all your options

I listen to your situation first. When you'd like, I'll explain how to have psycho-educational testing done for free through your school district, or diagnoses and assessments through your medical providers and insurance. As a Licensed Educational Psychologist, I'm required by law to share these options — and I believe you deserve to know them.
